Job summary

Rising Sun Center for Opportunity seeks a Senior Program Manager to implement a workforce development and energy efficiency program in the Bay Area. The Senior Program Manager, Bay Area collaborates with the Climate Careers team and reports to the Director of Climate Careers, Bay Area (CCBA).

The role supervises two Bay Area Regional Managers and one Workforce Initiatives Manager. Climate Careers uses an employment social enterprise model to combine home energy and water-saving services with

Qualifications

• Must have a car, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
• Ability to work flexible hours—occasional evenings and/or weekends.
• Hybrid format; onsite across Bay Area programs during the summer with regular in-person presence.
• Passion or belief in the nonprofit mission focused on equity, climate, and good jobs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Climate Careers program across nine Bay Area counties.
• Supervise Regional Managers and two Bay Area staff.
• Oversee externship and alumni components and collaboration with Central Valley team.
• Ensure program goals and outcomes are met and data collected for evaluation.
• Collaborate with CCBA Director and Climate Careers team to improve program effectiveness.
• Support partnership-building with cities, counties, and community organizations.
