Job summary

International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) invites applications for a Senior Program Officer II to lead donor-funded initiatives within IREX’s Global Impact Hub, coordinating complex workstreams, budgets, compliance, and partner relations to translate strategy into measurable results. You will design and deliver participant-centered programming and supervise staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience managing complex programs and budgets.
• Experience overseeing multi-workstream initiatives with donors and partners.
• Proven ability to lead teams and develop staff.
• Strong donor engagement, reporting, and compliance skills.
• Experience with US Government-funded grants preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee programs from planning through closeout, ensuring quality and impact.
• Lead participant-centered programming, including events and exchanges.
• Manage budgets, procurement, subawards, and donor reporting.
• Guide team members with coaching and clear expectations.
• Identify new opportunities and contribute to proposal development.
