Job summary

Neapco in Farmington Hills, MI seeks a Senior Program Buyer to manage deliverables for new and series production programs aligned with corporate objectives. Based at our World Headquarters and Technical Center, this role reports to the Director of Global Advanced Purchasing and emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Program Management, and Suppliers.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of purchasing program experience.
• Automotive OEM or Tier 1 experience preferred.
• Experience with purchasing program management deliverables.
• Strong project management skills - manage multiple projects and tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytical and technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Approximately 5% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage Global Purchasing deliverables for unawarded (pursuit) and awarded (SOP+90 days) programs.
• Support the Cost Estimator during pursuit phase by obtaining supplier strategy and sending RFQs.
• Conduct, track, and execute sourcing activities for new program launches.
• Source all purchased components on time and below Cost Book; negotiate and finalize supplier agreements.
• Track samples to support Plant builds and PPAP readiness.
• Lead cross-functional meetings to resolve program issues.
• Create and present Purchasing tracking documents (BOM, Navigator, Cost Book, Tooling, Timelines).
• Represent purchasing in weekly PDTs, Program Reviews, Gate Reviews, and other launches meetings.
• Track NCSRs; verify quotes align with requested changes.
• Collaborate with global colleagues and improve Purchasing processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
