Job summary

NDC is looking for a Buyer to join its team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This role involves leading supplier benchmarking, developing and managing commodity strategies, and maintaining supplier relationships across North and South America.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive purchasing and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Excellent negotiation and data management skills are necessary, along with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

This position will require travel approximately 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing process and costs preferred.
• Experience working with non-U.S. based customers/suppliers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier benchmarking activity.
• Develop and manage commodity strategy.
• Facilitate annual supplier cost improvements.
• Support Product Planning and Engineering projects.
• Issue Purchase Orders for production components.
