We are looking for a versatile, hands-on professional who combines strong analytical capabilities, project coordination experience, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. This position offers an opportunity to work directly with federal program leadership and operational staff to assess program activities, develop management solutions, and produce meaningful work products that support organizational improvement.

The selected candidate will report directly to the Hite Program Manager.

Work Location

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a strong preference for candidates located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Qualified candidates outside the region may also be considered if they can reliably support required onsite activities.

The role involves regular engagement with federal program leadership and staff, including onsite participation in stakeholder meetings, planning sessions, and project activities at the federal client facility in Washington, DC.

Position Duties

  • Serve as a key point of engagement with federal program leadership and operational staff, building productive relationships, facilitating discussions, and maintaining alignment on project objectives and expectations.
  • Conduct research, operational assessments, and program analysis to identify challenges, evaluate existing practices, and develop practical recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead and directly contribute to the development of management reports, analytical studies, reporting frameworks, executive briefings, and other substantive project deliverables.
  • Guide business process improvement activities, including workflow assessments, process mapping, development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implementation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and other project personnel to define analytical requirements, interpret findings, and incorporate performance measures and operational data into management products.
  • Coordinate and actively contribute to multidisciplinary assignments, ensuring work products are accurate, cohesive, responsive to client needs, and delivered on schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 6+ years of professional experience; candidates with an advanced degree in a related field may qualify with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience directly contributing to the development of analytical, operational, or management deliverables.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with demonstrated ability to assess complex program requirements and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, including experience preparing management reports, executive briefings, analytical summaries, or other professional deliverables.
  • Experience engaging with senior management and operational personnel, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and managing client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish project plans, coordinate multiple workstreams, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results within established timelines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to evolving requirements, and contribute effectively within a small, collaborative project team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable DHS/FEMA Public Trust clearance and system access approvals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal agencies, government contractors, or federal grants management programs.
  • Familiarity with federal grants administration, program operations, organizational performance, or business process improvement.
  • Experience developing performance reports, operational assessments, strategic plans, SOPs, or executive-level management products.
