Job summary

Qualifications

• AAPC CPC or CPC-A credential is required.
• 2+ years of ProFee abstract medical coding experience.
• Proficient knowledge of E/M documentation guidelines, modifiers and NCCI edits.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency with EHRs and coding/auditing tools.

Responsibilities

• Abstract coding of all pro-fee E/M visits and office-based services.
• Daily QA evaluation of coded services for accuracy.
• Provide targeted coding education and feedback.
• Validate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers against documentation.
• Identify discrepancies, risks, trends, and gaps.
• Support denial prevention, resolution and appeals strategies.
• Collaborate across teams to provide coding support.
