Arcosa Lightweight seeks a Senior Production Worker at the Shepherdsville, KY plant to help sustain a safety-first, 24/7 aggregate operation. You will direct staff, move materials, and operate multiple pieces of equipment in a regulated environment.

The role emphasizes safety, equipment maintenance, and adherence to procedures while supporting continuous production and providing opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of production/industrial experience.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 60 pounds, and work in outdoor conditions.
• Experience operating at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise staff and activities in a 24/7 aggregate environment.
• Operate equipment and move materials between workstations.
• Ensure proper identification of parts and materials.
• Comply with MSHA safety standards and company rules.
• Maintain and inspect equipment and work areas.
• Support safety committees or initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ARCOSA Lightweight is searching for a Senior Production Worker for our Shepherdsville, KY plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Senior Production Worker, you will be part of the production team making our products.

Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.

Our Senior Production Workers work for a company that puts employees first, safety first, and offers great benefits. As a Senior Production Worker at Arcosa Lightweight youll produce material and use machinery such as excavators, dozer, motor graders, skid steers, water truck, maintenance trucks, and other yard vehicles to move materials and products between workstations and/or receiving and storage locations. The Senior Production Worker will also ensure proper identification of parts and materials. Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do:

• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
• Perform tasks assigned in a safe and effective manner
• Operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.)
• Operate equipment in quarry or production
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain the bowl mill and cooler area
• Perform all necessary work area inspections and document discrepancies. This includes any heavy equipment checklist/inspections
• Be able to operate front end loader
• Run clinker pile and spec material clay shed via front end loader
• Close off spec doors to coolers
• Haul stack dust once a shift
• Remove logs from cooler
• Oil bowl mills
• Fill and maintain coal hopper
• Maintain reversible belt
• Perform all tasks in a safe manner which includes wearing proper personal protective equipment and follow safety regulations established by this company
• Perform other duties as required
• Keep water level pumped down at eight belt
• Run clinkers for the screening and crushing department
• Grease and inspect crusher screens in finishing plant
• Help clay feed attendant to keep clay chopped in clay shed
• Run sweeper to keep concrete clean, washing of scrubber slabs
• Assist in turning and replacement of hammers in crusher
• Drive dump truck during cleanup of spillage in plant
• Maintain the operation of the cooler reversible belts which includes keeping tail pulleys clean and keeping water on belts when needed
• Maintain the operation of the coal mills which include maintaining proper oil levels, water circulation through coal mills, grease appropriate areas when needed and keeping coal area clean
• Maintain the operation of cooler drives and keep area around the coolers clean
• Keep tail pulley and catwalk cleaned on stockpile belts
• Remove clinkers from cooler pits and stack in designated areas
• Keep all above areas clean
• Grease equipment in all areas of production
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds.
• The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year of experience
• Ability to operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.)
• Remove logs from cooler
• On the job training
• Operating front end loader
• Operate bobcat
