BPX Energy is seeking a Senior Production Systems Engineer to pioneer data-driven solutions for US onshore operations. You will develop software and processes that optimize production, streamline workflows, and collaborate with engineers, optimizers, and field operators to translate challenges into impactful solutions.

You will design robust apps using Python, SQL, Snowflake in AWS, champion CI/CD, and build dashboards with Power BI/Streamlit to empower data‑driven decisions across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 8+ years in oil & gas, Petroleum Engineering preferred.
• Strong Python and SQL for data-intensive apps.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Dagster; Palantir a plus.
• Clear communication and collaborative problem solving.
• Analytical mindset and passion for data-driven work.

Responsabilités

• Partner with Operations and Optimization teams to identify data-driven improvement opportunities.
• Design, develop, and deploy applications using Python, SQL, Snowflake in AWS.
• Champion CI/CD, version control, testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborate as product owner with Technology and Production for in-house solutions.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-level systems and standards.
• Create reporting tools and dashboards with Power BI, Streamlit, or Python web apps.
• Leverage AI tools and create agents to accelerate analysis.
