Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Production Supervisor II in California to lead a team of hourly employees and ensure safe, efficient operations in line with Guardian Angel safety culture and ONE team values.

You will guide daily production, maintenance, and distribution activities, partner with the maintenance team on PM programs and manage procurement to reduce costs while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
• 4+ years in Aggregates, Mining, or Construction Operations.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations (MSHA/EPA).

Responsibilities

• Champion Guardian Angel safety program; goal of zero incidents.
• Ensure MSHA/EPA compliance with permits and regulations.
• Lead safety meetings, site inspections and safety checks.
• Document incidents, near-misses and corrective actions with urgency.
• Coordinate daily production schedules to optimize efficiency and QC.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventative maintenance (PM).
• Oversee procurement to control costs and supplier performance.
• Ensure staffing aligns with Plant Manager and labor laws.
• Support training, cross-training and employee development.
• Monitor KPIs for production, downtime and costs.
• Coach and develop hourly workforce and conduct performance reviews.
• Maintain plant appearance and environmental stewardship.
• Oversee dust collection, water management and site reclamation.
