Job summary

Daikin Applied, a leader in HVAC, seeks a Senior Production Supervisor to lead 2nd shift operations in Faribault, MN. You will drive production planning, standards, and continuous improvement with lean practices and cross-functional collaboration across Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.

You will mentor supervisors, monitor adherence to safety and quality, and partner with HR on staffing and development to meet tight production schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
• Experience leading production teams and aligning resources to meet targets.
• Familiarity with 5S and Kaizen concepts in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and optimize production workloads across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Confer with management to establish production standards, budgeting, and delivery data.
• Plan and monitor production activities and set priorities.
• Coordinate with Production Control, Purchasing, Manufacturing Services, Maintenance and supervisors.
• Review production, QC, maintenance, and operations reports to identify issues.
• Help develop and implement new SOPs to eliminate problems and improve safety and lean practices.

Location: In Office - Faribault, MN, 2nd shift

Your Responsibilities:

• Confers with management to review andestablishproduction standards, developbudgetand cost controls, and to obtain dataregardingtypes, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
• Plans andmonitorsproduction activities andestablishesproduction priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
• Coordinates production activities with Production Control,Purchasing, Manufacturing Services, Maintenance, and subordinate supervisors to obtainoptimumproduction andutilizationof human resources, machines, and equipment.
• Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports todeterminecauses of nonconformity with product specifications, andoperatingor production problems, and recommends process changes.
• Assistwith developing and implementing new standard operational and work practices and procedures designed toeliminateoperating problems, enhanceefficiencyand lean practices, improve product quality, and improvework placesafety.
• Observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Creates a continuous improvement cultureutilizingLean Manufacturing, 5S principles, Kaizen activity, and employee participation.
• Provides suggestions to management for revising production schedules and prioritiesas a result ofequipment failure or operating problems.
• Consults with engineering relative to modification of machines and equipmentin order to improve production and quality of products.
• Coordinates with the Environmental Health and Safety Managerregardingtraining forworkers on issues related to health and safety, mayfacilitatetraining either personally or through subordinate supervisors.
• Coordinates with the Human Resources Director and Human Resources team on issues related to recruitment and selection, employee relations, training and development, compensation, conflict resolution, motivation, corrective action, policy, contract and employment law interpretation and all employee related strategic decisions.
• Participates in grievance meetings and labor management group meetings toassistwith resolving or effecting settlement of grievances. Mayparticipatein Union contract negotiations.

Your Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience inmanufacturing
• Bachelor's Degree in related field(preferred)
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience (preferred)

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400 to $136,800 +10% BIP in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
