Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Production Shift Manager in Athens, GA to lead our poultry processing production operations. You will direct supervision to meet quality objectives at the designed cost while maintaining a safe work environment.

Candidates should bring 5+ years in poultry/food operations with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, plus a high school diploma or higher. This on-site role focuses on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in daily shift

Qualifications

Experience supervising poultry/food production operations.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to drive continuous improvement and cost control.
Knowledge of safety and USDA/OSHA standards.
Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

Manage and direct supervision of further processing production operations.
Participate in Operational Excellence project meetings at least twice per year.
Leverage engineering skills to optimize production goals.
Ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime per shift.
Oversee production quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure teams follow standard work practices to improve efficiency and meet targets.
Train employees on standard work tasks and ensure safe, compliant operations.
