Job description

Drive Production Strategy. Improve Processes. Make an Impact.

Wrought Washer Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Senior Production Scheduler / Master Scheduler to lead production scheduling and capacity planning across our manufacturing operations. This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker who enjoys solving complex production challenges, improving processes, and collaborating across multiple departments to keep manufacturing running efficiently.

This position is more than creating production schedules—you will own the master production schedule, drive capacity management strategies, develop meaningful reporting and dashboards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that directly improve on-time delivery, productivity, and operational performance.

If you're someone who enjoys digging into the root cause of problems rather than simply reacting to them, and you're looking for an opportunity to influence how a manufacturing operation runs, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Own and maintain the master production schedule to meet customer demand while maximizing plant efficiency.
  • Develop production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Apply advanced capacity planning methodologies including Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), finite and infinite scheduling, Theory of Constraints, and Demand-Driven MRP concepts.
  • Monitor inventory levels, production requirements, and system-generated planning actions for assigned product lines.
  • Evaluate scheduled jobs for material requirements and ensure purchasing and planning activities support production timelines.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, and Leadership to align schedules with changing business priorities.
  • Lead daily and weekly production scheduling meetings to review priorities, schedule adherence, and production risks.
  • Monitor capacity constraints, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve issues before they impact customer deliveries.
  • Investigate recurring scheduling and production issues through root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain production dashboards and reporting, including:
  • Schedule adherence
  • Capacity utilization
  • Work-in-process (WIP) aging
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing lead times, schedule changes, manual work, and production inefficiencies.
  • Coordinate production schedules with other Wrought Washer facilities as needed.
  • Document scheduling processes and provide training, mentorship, and backup support for other Production Control team members.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years of progressively responsible production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing operations experience.
  • Experience developing and managing master production schedules in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of capacity planning methodologies including:
  • Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP)
  • Finite and Infinite Scheduling
  • Theory of Constraints (TOC)
  • Demand-Driven MRP
  • Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives and solving recurring production challenges through data-driven root cause analysis.
  • Strong ERP experience required; Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform experience is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to build reports, analyze production data, and communicate performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Leadership.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification is strongly preferred.

Why Join Wrought Washer Manufacturing?

  • Play a strategic role in driving manufacturing performance across the organization.
  • Lead meaningful process improvements that directly impact customer satisfaction and operational success.
  • Work alongside an experienced leadership team committed to continuous improvement.
  • Opportunity to influence scheduling strategy, capacity planning, and production performance.
  • Stable company with a collaborative, team-oriented culture.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.
