Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc is seeking a Production Planning Supervisor to lead a team of 4-5 planners and drive PCR workflow planning within an SAP-driven environment. You will shape mid- and long-term production plans, optimize capacity, and ensure on-time delivery while collaborating with global functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 2+ years of production planning and scheduling experience.
• 5+ years manufacturing production experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience desirable.
• APICS CPIM certification a plus.
• In depth SAP experience production planning and detailed scheduling.
• Understanding of cost components of applied planning practices.
• Exposure to NPI (New Product Introductions) and familiarity with BOM setup and costing.
• Green Belt training a plus.
• Experience mentoring junior planning staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute all planning activities to build and maintain supply and optimize build sizes.
• Identify and maintain mid and long term production plans using forecasts and constraints.
• Maintain appropriate planning parameters for capacity, resources, work centers, and shop calendar.
• Establish and maintain production schedules to meet on-time delivery.
• Monitor conflicts and bottlenecks, escalate issues as needed.
• Generate weekly/monthly scheduling metrics and communicate insights.
• Manage product lifecycle projects to ensure availability and minimize scrap.
