Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories seeks a Production Planner I to plan and coordinate intermediate production, align schedules with formulation demand, and optimize production flow. You will analyze demand, manage inventory, and collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency using SAP MRP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• APICS CPIM certification preferred.
• Two or more years of experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and/or in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials planning preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to anticipate issues, prioritize demands, and implement solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules using ERP systems or Kanban processes.
• Partner with Supply Assurance Buyers to prevent material shortages and disruptions.
• Ensure efficient production flow through scheduling, data analysis, and issue resolution.
• Generate and interpret production reports to support decisions.
• Monitor scheduling messages and resolve issues identified by manufacturing personnel.
• Manage routine to moderately complex scheduling activities within scope.
• Escalate non-routine issues to management as appropriate.
• Adhere to procedures and company policies; review for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and process improvements to enhance scheduling.
