Job summary

The Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce seeks a Lead Production Planner to own the North American production plan, balancing service, inventory, capacity, and cost. You will lead the Production Planning Team and partner with cross-functional groups to strengthen S&OP and drive planning improvements.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years in production planning, ERP/MRP expertise, and strong Excel/data analysis skills, with leadership experience guiding a team in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of progressive production planning experience, including two years supervising or leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, MRP, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems to support decisions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain executable short- to medium-term production plans balancing demand, capacity, inventory, and cost.
• Lead North American production planning and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Translate demand forecasts and customer orders into schedules and resource requirements.
• Monitor work orders, identify deviations, and coordinate corrective actions for on-time delivery.
• Develop capacity plans and inventory scenarios to manage constraints and risks.
