Crown Equipment Corporation, located in New Bremen, OH, seeks a Senior Production Planner Scheduler to lead planning, inventory control, and scheduling activities to ensure timely material supply for production and customer orders.

The role emphasizes capacity planning, collaboration with production teams, and continuous improvement initiatives, including lean practices and project management. Travel is minimal, and the environment focuses on ERP-enabled operations.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience.
• Associate degree (Business Administration or Supply Chain Management).
• Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED.
• Occasional travel and overnight stays (0-5%).
• Eight to ten years of extensive planning or related experience.
• APICS certification.
• Have a strong understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and be familiar with and able to manage in a modern ERP environment using software systems, such as SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Good oral and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and inventory control activities by coordinating efforts, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely material supply to support production and customer orders.
• Oversee workflow scheduling by analyzing reports, adjusting production plans, and collaborating with supervisors to resolve capacity and scheduling issues.
• Perform capacity planning by running machine load reports, reviewing capacities with production teams, and recommending subcontracting when necessary.
• Manage shortage issues by monitoring overdue parts, investigating root causes, and working with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely material delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and project management initiatives by leading cross-functional projects, promoting lean principles, and implementing standard work practices.
