Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation, a world‑class forklift and material handling equipment innovator, is seeking a Summer 2027 Material Planning Co-op in New Bremen, OH. You will help create and optimize daily/weekly production schedules, analyze data, and support planning across production, procurement, and logistics teams.

This role fosters continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma projects and SOP documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts).
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating, updating and monitoring daily/weekly production schedules.
• Help identify material shortages or overages and recommend actions.
• Collect and analyze production data for planning.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for planning and performance tracking.
• Enter and maintain data in ERP systems.
• Support data accuracy for materials, BOMs, and routing.
• Coordinate with production, kanban technician, procurement and logistics teams.
• Participate in daily production meetings and planning reviews.
• Identify inefficiencies in planning or scheduling processes.
• Support lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects.
• Document standard operating procedures related to planning.
• Maintain planning-related documentation and training materials.
• Attend training sessions on planning tools, systems, and methodologies.
