Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Production Planner to own end-to-end planning across demand, supply and production execution. You will develop the master production schedule, ensure finite scheduling, and maintain ERP/MRP accuracy to meet customer dates and minimize delays.

The role collaborates with Sales, Operations, Engineering and Purchasing, conducts capacity planning, and analyzes trade-offs between service, cost and inventory to drive optimal performance on multi-line

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field.
• 7+ years in Supply Chain or Production Planning/Scheduling.
• 3+ years ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Oracle or similar).
• 1+ years knowledge of data flow through manufacturing process (design to shipment).
• US citizenship or permanent resident to handle government contracts.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; APICS CPIM or CSCP preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the master production schedule aligned to demand and capacity constraints.
• Ensure finite scheduling and sequence optimization to maximize throughput and minimize delays.
• Manage production work orders and ERP/MRP accuracy for inventory and BOMs.
• Review orders for capacity, materials, and design availability to meet dates; manage backlog and service risk.
• Lead monthly Supply Agreement process: demand/supply balancing, scenario modeling and risk identification.
• Develop and evaluate supply-demand scenarios to articulate trade-offs for decision-making.
• Lead capacity planning for labor, machines, and materials; provide future capacity reports.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to align raw material plans with inventory strategies.
