Marmon Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Senior Planner to develop and execute production plans that meet customer demand while optimizing capacity and inventory in a wire and cable manufacturing environment.

The role links Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery and efficient operations across multiple processes, including wire drawing, stranding, cabling, extrusion, and packaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or supply chain within manufacturing.
• Experience in wire, cable, electrical products, metals, plastics, extrusion, or similar continuous/process manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of MRP, production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management.
• Experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Epicor, or similar.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules based on demand, inventory, capacity, and constraints.
• Convert customer orders, forecasts, and master production requirements into practical production plans.
• Establish production priorities and sequencing to maximize throughput and meet delivery commitments.
• Plan production across multiple work centers and processes such as wire drawing, stranding, cabling, extrusion, and packaging.
• Balance capacity, labor, tooling, materials, changeovers, and lead times; identify conflicts and recovery plans.
• Monitor daily performance and adjust schedules to meet commitments.
• Coordinate short- and medium-range capacity planning to support growth.
