Job summary

States Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a Senior Production Planner to develop and execute the assembly production schedule in an Engineer-to-Order environment. You will align customer orders, engineering releases, material availability, and plant capacity to meet delivery commitments.

As the primary liaison among planning, engineering, supply chain, and fabrication teams, you will translate complex project requirements into actionable shop-floor schedules and drive continuous improvement in

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
Advanced ERP/MRP proficiency with BOM structures, routings, master scheduling, and capacity planning.
Experience coordinating across Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Manufacturing.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

Translate SIOP-driven master schedule into a rolling 12-week production plan aligned with plant capacity, ramp-ups, customer orders, engineering releases, and lead times.
Monitor shop-floor progress and schedule adherence, adjusting priorities as needed.
Own performance metrics, including schedule attainment, on-time delivery and WIP levels.
Maintain scheduling data within Epicor.
Recommend plans and actions to mitigate at-risk delivery commitments.
Act as primary link between Site Master Scheduler and shop-floor execution.
Manage schedule impact of ECOs, revisions, and supply disruptions; coordinate updates.
Identify bottlenecks and constraints and coordinate cross-functional actions to resolve them.
Escalate risks and propose recovery plans.
Lead daily/weekly production scheduling reviews.
Identify opportunities to improve assembly flow, resource utilization, and planning processes.
Mentor and develop production coordinators as the team grows.
