Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. in Dayton, MN, is seeking a Senior Production Planner to develop, maintain, and execute the assembly production schedule in an Engineer-to-Order environment. You will align customer orders, engineering releases, material availability, and plant capacity to meet delivery commitments.

You will lead daily/weekly scheduling reviews, manage constraints, and drive continuous improvement in planning processes while mentoring coordinators as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of production planning or manufacturing operations.
• Strong ERP/MRP skills with BOM, routings, master scheduling, and capacity planning.
• Experience coordinating with Engineering, Supply Chain, PMO, and Manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate SIOP-driven master schedule into a rolling 12-week production plan aligned with capacity, ramp-ups, orders, and lead times.
• Monitor shop-floor progress and schedule adherence; adjust priorities as needed.
• Own performance metrics: schedule attainment, on-time delivery, and WIP levels.
• Maintain scheduling data in Epicor and coordinate master schedule updates with stakeholders.
• Identify bottlenecks and coordinate cross-functional actions to resolve constraints.
