Job summary

States Manufacturing LLC is seeking a Senior Production Planner, Fabrication to develop, maintain, and execute the fabrication schedule in an Engineer-to-Order environment. You will align capacity, materials, and engineering readiness to keep fabrications flowing to Assembly.

You will own fabrication jobs from release through closure, coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Programming, and Project Management, and lead daily/weekly scheduling reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
• Advanced ERP/MRP proficiency with BOM structures, routings, production scheduling, and capacity planning.
• Experience coordinating across Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate the 12-week assembly plan into a detailed fabrication schedule by resource and work center.
• Sequence and level-load work to optimize fabrication resources.
• Monitor shop-floor progress, open jobs, and WIP against the schedule.
• Own fabrication performance metrics, including schedule attainment and on-time delivery.
• Manage the full job lifecycle: release, material issuance, component receipt, and closure in Epicor.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to support fabrication execution.
• Lead daily and weekly fabrication scheduling reviews.
• Identify bottlenecks and coordinate cross-functional actions to resolve them.
• Mentor planners and schedulers; serve as SME for fabrication planning in Epicor.
