Job summary

States Manufacturing LLC in Dayton, MN is seeking a Senior Production Planner, Fabrication to develop and execute the detailed fabrication schedule in an Engineer-to-Order environment. This role coordinates between Fabrication, Engineering, Supply Chain, Programming, and Assembly Planning to keep fabrication jobs on track.

You will own job releases through completion, manage capacity and material readiness, and lead continuous improvement in planning processes while mentoring junior planners in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4+ years in production planning or manufacturing operations.
• Advanced ERP/MRP proficiency and understanding of BOMs, routings, and capacity planning.
• Experience coordinating across Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and production scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate the 12-week assembly plan into a detailed fabrication schedule by resource and work center.
• Sequence and level-load work to optimize fabrication resources and meet deadlines.
• Monitor shop-floor progress, open jobs, and WIP against the schedule and adjust priorities.
• Own fabrication performance metrics, including schedule attainment and on-time delivery.
• Manage job releases, material issuance, and timely job closures in Epicor.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Programming, and Project Management.
• Lead daily/weekly fabrication scheduling reviews and drive process improvements.
