Job summary

Howmet in California is looking for a Production Planner to oversee the flow of parts through the full production cycle. You will plan and schedule work orders to meet internal financial goals and customer delivery dates, coordinating with manufacturing and purchasing to avoid shortages.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of production planning experience, including 2+ years in manufacturing, plus strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills. Excellent organizational abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with theory and practical knowledge in the field.
• Minimum 5+ years of production planning experience, including 2+ years in manufacturing.
• ERP or MRP experience required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Excel formulas, lookups and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate and monitor flow of products through production cycle.
• Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements.
• Coordinate delivery of parts to meet production schedule and expedite material flow.
• Release work orders to warehouse for kit picking and monitor MRB actions.
• Collaborate with teams to meet daily, weekly and monthly goals and create action plans.
