Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Production Planner to oversee daily and weekly production schedules, align materials and capacity, and coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, and Quality to meet customer demand.

This role requires 3+ years in production planning, experience with ERP/MRP and Excel, and strong analytical skills. The position offers a hybrid schedule, competitive pay in California, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production planning experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience in food/beverage or protein processing preferred.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, and material planning.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory, and manufacturing capacity.
• Release and monitor production work orders; adjust schedules for changes in demand, materials, staffing or equipment.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure raw materials and packaging are available.
• Balance production priorities to meet delivery goals while optimizing equipment utilization and minimizing downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels and planning data to prevent shortages or excess.
• Communicate schedule updates across cross-functional teams.
• Analyze production performance and suggest process improvements.
• Maintain planning data in the ERP/MRP system.
• Support inventory accuracy initiatives and cycle counts.
• Ensure production plans comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
