Job summary

Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Senior Production Planner I to be based onsite at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. The role focuses on managing the production schedule, lead times, and material flow for Rocket Lab’s production lines, coordinating with Engineering, Quality, and Finance to ensure on-time delivery.

The candidate should have 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), with strong knowledge of MRP, data master management, and problem-solving skills. A U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience & a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (9+ years total work experience).
• Proven ability to conduct clear build reviews, and expedite materials through production.
• Knowledge of Production Planning fundamentals for master data management, batch processing, and issue ticket disposition.
• Proficient in MRP systems.
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics.
• U.S citizenship is required, due to program requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supply and fulfilment planning within MRP for Production work orders.
• Responsible for releasing work orders to Production, and kit requests to Inventory
• Accountable for creating visibility of material position (with line of balance reports, material shortage reports, clear to build reports, etc.)
• Responsible for supporting prioritization and expediting subassemblies to support integration timeline.
• Accountable for ensuring part master data within MRP is accurate for Production parts
• Understand material demand and accuracy of configuration
• Work in a cross functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals.
