Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Production Planner I to join the Supply Chain team at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. The role focuses on managing production schedules, lead times, and material planning for Rocket Lab’s Electron program.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Finance to maintain a smooth production flow and timely deliverables. The position requires 5+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security

Qualifications

• Clear build reviews and ability to expedite materials through production.
• Knowledge of production planning fundamentals for master data management.
• Proficient in MRP systems and ERP tools.
• Strong skills with MS Office, data analysis, and statistics.
• US citizenship and security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supply and fulfilment planning within MRP for Production work orders.
• Release work orders to Production and kit requests to Inventory.
• Create visibility of material position with reports.
• Support prioritization and expediting subassemblies to meet timelines.
• Ensure part master data within MRP is accurate for Production parts.
• Understand material demand and configuration accuracy.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Production, and Finance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
