Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Material Planner I to lead MRP-based demand and supply planning at our Long Beach HQ. You will coordinate with engineering, quality, production, and finance to manage schedules, lead times, and inventory, ensuring compliance and timely procurement actions.

Based onsite in Long Beach, CA, you will drive master data integrity, BOM accuracy, and release planning while collaborating across functions to meet program goals and supports security-clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in material planning or supply chain.
• Experience producing material line of balance and clear to build reviews.
• Knowledge of master data management, BOM and planning release.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for demand, supply, and fulfilment planning within MRP.
• Maintain bill of materials, parts, and master data within ERP.
• Release purchase planning messages to procurement in a timely manner.
• Release work orders to production in a timely manner.
• Update demand to accommodate engineering change orders and communicate to procurement.
• Create visibility of material position (through reports) and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
