Job summary

WuXi AppTec in Middletown, DE seeks an Operator I to execute batch operations, maintain equipment, and uphold safety and quality in a cGMP environment. You will follow batch records, perform in-process checks, and document results with attention to right-first-time performance.

You will work in a cross-functional team, support line clearances and changeovers, and collaborate with QA, QC, MSAT, and Facilities to drive continuous improvement while maintaining cleanroom and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or technical certificate in a science/technical field preferred.
• Experience with tablet presses, encapsulators, fluid bed dryers, roller compactors, blenders, coaters or related equipment required.
• Minimum 3 years in GMP manufacturing or similar regulated setting preferred (new-grad friendly).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute batch operations per approved batch records and document results.
• Set up, operate, and monitor equipment within validated parameters.
• Conduct in-process checks and make routine adjustments under supervision.
• Support line clearances and changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Complete batch records, logbooks, and forms accurately and legibly.
• Participate in audits, room/equipment release, and lot sampling activities.
• Collaborate with QA, QC, MSAT/Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Facilities, and EHS.
• Assist with deviations, OOS/OOT investigations and CAPAs.
• Uphold safety, quality, and Right-First-Time performance.
