Job summary

WuXi AppTec Group in Middletown, DE seeks a Lead Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to drive maintenance for clinical and commercial production. You will lead preventive, predictive, and corrective work on critical utilities and equipment, acting as the SME for instrumentation and electrical systems while ensuring GMP compliance and safe operations.

The role involves coordinating with Facilities, Engineering, QA, and production teams, supervising contractors, and guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ years' industrial/pharmaceutical maintenance experience; electrical/instrumentation preferred.
• Multi-craft troubleshooting across pumps, motors, valves, HVAC, boilers, chillers.
• GMP environments and strict documentation practices.
• Experience with Process Control Systems, Building Automation, and Environmental Monitoring.
• Proficiency with modern data acquisition systems/historians and MS Office; CMMS experience.
• Journeyperson Electrical License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Execution: Use CMMS to schedule and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance with production, EHS, facilities, and engineering.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on utilities equipment (Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Compressors, Process Water Systems, Generators).
• Provide hands-on instrumentation and electrical repairs to prevent downtime and product impact.
• Oversee contractors, permits, and daily maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate across teams to support work orders in various environments.
• Support client site visits and audits with technical mastery.
• Manage inventory of consumables and ensure GMP-compliant procedures.
