Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Mishawaka, IN seeks a Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations of the corrugator department, ensuring safety, efficiency and customer requirements are met. You will guide plant production, materials, equipment, and projects while coaching and developing direct reports.

You will partner with senior management to drive lean processes, cost control, and continuous improvement, delivering quality products on schedule and maintaining strong employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years related experience in a packaging manufacturing environment.
• 7+ years of leadership experience within a packaging manufacturing facility.
• Demonstrated mechanical acumen and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership coordinating plant activities to meet manufacturing objectives in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Review customer requirements and specifications to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
• Coordinate and maintain safety plans to ensure program adoption and compliance.
• Suggest ideas to support department goals and continuous improvement, profitability, and employee engagement.
• Develop and manage communication channels across stakeholder groups to build relationships and deliver results.
• Manage P&L, manufacturing costs, and operating efficiencies to improve profitability.
• Monitor waste management to reduce costs and environmental impact.
