Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead safe and efficient production operations at the Mishawaka, IN facility. You will communicate performance expectations, supervise productivity and quality, and mentor team members to meet targets and KPIs.

The role requires 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience, a high school diploma, and preferably a bachelor’s degree in a related field with Lean/Six Sigma credentials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or Operations Management preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience required; packaging experience preferred.
• Experience in a Lean environment; Six Sigma certification recommended.
• Proven operations, manufacturing or supply chain background.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach and train employees and work across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and efficient production operations ensuring targets and metrics are met.
• Communicate performance expectations and supervise productivity and quality.
• Coach and mentor team members; manage performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee shift operations to emphasize safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Monitor KPIs and plant scorecard to drive improvements.
• Plan workforce, attendance, vacations and call-ins in alignment with production goals.
• Coordinate with other functions to meet production needs and shipping schedules.
