SAFHOLLAND, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to lead the machining/assembly teams in a world‑class manufacturing environment. You will drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity while aligning with corporate objectives.

In this role you will develop teams, manage staffing, training, and problem solving, and ensure compliance with all policies. Travel may be required and on-call responsibilities may apply.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing B.S.M.E or equivalent recognized program.
• Eight years’ experience in a high volume, Assembly environment.
• Strong technical background supporting and improving Assembly processes in a production environment.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Project coordination skills. Experience in capital justification.
• Basic ability to use Word and Excel.
• CAD experience helpful.

Responsabilités

• Has various levels of decision-making autonomy ranging from present for approval to act.
• Has primary or secondary responsibility for several Key Performance measures.
• Receives input, coaching, and information to aid in setting priorities from Plant Manager or any others that are appropriate.
• Responsibility for the production team’s actions, meeting deliverables and objectives.
• Responsible to develop and confirm team member’s competence by reactively and proactively train and coach.
• Actively manage and participate in the development of your team and cross-functional work, establishing organizational and process changes.
• Monitor and support the team’s and processes performance, addressing deviations or communication need for support.
• Expected to have authority to temporarily stop any work or processes if safety, environment or quality is at risk.
• Prepare and track departmental budget.
• Maintain and promote a safe work environment through ownership of Company/business unit safety program.
• Support and enforce the Company’s equal employment opportunity and affirmative action policy and actions.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and professional work environment.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as may be assigned.
