Job summary

Chipton-Ross, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager in Buena Park, CA to lead daily assembly operations, translating customer and schedule needs into staffing, materials and priorities.

You will develop supervisors, coach performance, and own metrics like on-time delivery, throughput, and cost to ensure safe, compliant production. This is an onsite, full-time role requiring 7+ years in manufacturing and ERP/MRP expertise.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of manufacturing operations experience with leadership of supervisors or production teams.
• Ownership of safety, quality, delivery, cost, labor, capacity and continuous improvement.
• Experience managing production schedules, work in process, shortages and escalations.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, production metrics, and controlled documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily assembly production and translate requirements into staffing, workstations, materials and priorities.
• Develop production supervisors and team leaders; coach performance and safety.
• Own production results: schedule attainment, on-time delivery, throughput and labor efficiency.
• Conduct daily operating reviews and drive recovery actions for shortages, downtime, or quality issues.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, PM and Customer Service.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, routers, work instructions, and configuration documents.
• Maintain readiness for audits and drive containment and corrective actions.
• Plan capacity, staffing, cross-training, overtime and equipment to meet demand.
• Promote lean manufacturing, standardized work and 5S; ensure safe, respectful workplace.
• Manage operating expenses and advise on capital and resources.
• Communicate performance and risks to operations leadership and stakeholders.
