Job summary

Mevion Medical Systems in Littleton, MA, seeks a Production Manager to oversee the S250i assemblies, ensure on-time, high-quality output, and drive world-class production practices in a low-volume, high-complexity environment.

You will lead production leads and staff, coordinate with Supply Chain and Quality, and own daily/weekly build plans while managing nonconformances, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives to sustain throughput and quality in a capital equipment setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 7+ years manufacturing experience including 3+ years leading a production team.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix, high-complexity environments (medical capital equipment preferred).
• Working knowledge of regulated quality systems (ISO 13485 or FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
• Hands-on ERP/MRP proficiency (Rootstock preferred).

Responsibilities

• Organize and assign work tasks to production leads and personnel to meet goals.
• Ensure products meet quality specifications and achieve quality goals.
• Apply lean methods (5S, standard work) and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain and improve production environment, tooling, and utilities.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, Engineering, and Quality.
• Own daily/weekly build plan and ensure work orders release readiness.
• Investigate nonconformances and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and start-up of production lines.
• Provide build readiness assessments for engineering transfer and support data.
• Identify and close process documentation discrepancies; drive cross-training.
