Job summary

Mevion Medical Systems in Littleton, MA is seeking a Production Manager to ensure on-time completion of S250 assemblies and the highest quality. The role analyzes build readiness and escalates issues through governance, reporting to the Director of Manufacturing.

You will organize work, enforce lean methods, maintain the production floor, coordinate with supply chain and engineering, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring documentation and training meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years manufacturing experience, including 3+ years leading a production team.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix, high-complexity build environments (medical capital equipment, etc.).
• Working knowledge of a regulated quality system (ISO 13485 or FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
• Hands-on ERP and MRP proficiency (Rootstock preferred).
• Demonstrated data literacy with ERP-derived metrics.
• Experience authoring or enforcing standardized work and instructions.
• Ability to convert demand plans into labor hours and headcount.

Responsibilities

• Organize and assign tasks to production leads to meet goals.
• Ensure products meet quality specifications and goals.
• Apply lean methods and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain production environment and tooling, ensure safe workspace.
• Coach and support production staff.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to sequence activities.
• Own daily and weekly build plan against released schedule.
• Escalate risks and issues with data-backed rationale.
