Job summary

Autoneum, a global leader in acoustic and thermal management for light and commercial vehicles, seeks a Production Operations Lead to oversee multiple departments and drive safety, quality, and productivity on the manufacturing floor.

Under general supervision, you will supervise managers and engineers, implement continuous improvement, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Procurement to meet cost and delivery targets in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, manufacturing, or related field.
• 5+ years automotive manufacturing experience, including JIT environments.
• 5+ years supervisory or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and related quality systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, PDCA and Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity objectives.
• Establish production priorities and coordinate activities with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Procurement.
• Monitor performance metrics; identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Adjust production schedules and resources to address equipment failures and staffing.
• Maintain production measurables (OEE, Scrap, TPM/PM, Labor Productivity) and drive improvements.
• Lead OEE/scrap meetings and track progress with support functions.
• Partner with Plant Leadership, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance to eliminate inefficiencies.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for supervisors and team leads.
• Foster employee relations and support performance management and training.
• Develop and improve operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
• Oversee receiving, material staging, and finished goods shipping when required.
• Lead APS standards, Lean principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion CI projects, cost savings, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
• Facilitate Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and other CI activities.
• Coach CI teams and engage employees in continuous improvement efforts.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
• Support RFQ reviews to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
• Prepare and maintain operational, production, and performance reports.
• Develop employee knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities through training.
• Conduct orientation, performance evaluations, and ongoing performance management.
• Adjust work hours across shifts to support operational needs.
