Arcosa Marine is searching for a Safety Focused Senior Production Manager in our Ashland City, TN barge manufacturing plant. As a Senior Production Manager, you will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the plant. You will be responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through effective methods and strategies.

Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., part of Arcosa’s Inland Barge Group, is a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. We manufacture dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, used for transporting grain, coal, and aggregates. We also manufacture tank barges for petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquids. We are the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers, primarily used on grain barges. Additionally, we provide deck hardware such as hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.

What you'll do:

• Implement strategic plans to improve production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility.
• Provide leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment to meet product specifications and shipping criteria.
• Collaborate with all departments to implement continuous improvement activities in manufacturing operations.
• Maintain manufacturing staff through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees to ensure a fully staffed and competent workforce.
• Mentor and coach supervisory staff and hourly personnel for development.
• Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing methods to reduce costs and improve product quality.
• Manage the manufacturing team to maintain a safe and environmentally compliant work environment.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class processes to achieve cost, quality, and capacity goals.
• Drive manufacturing readiness for product launches and transfer to production.

What you'll need:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business preferred, or applicable experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing management experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing environments.
• Experience or training in Lean Manufacturing methodologies with a proven implementation background.
