Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 10-15 years of relevant experience (required).
• 10 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in Maintenance & TPM implementation preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
• Training and experience implementing LEAN manufacturing preferred.
• Demonstrated skill to read and understand basic component part drawings.
• Demonstrated skill to read and understand basic manufacturing routers.
• Demonstrated skill to read and understand basic bills of material, manufacturing work instructions.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Setting and maintaining priorities, vision, and leadership.
• Providing technical assistance & troubleshooting support to Materials, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Maintenance, Field Service, Shipping, and the Distribution Center.
• Recommending raw material or component part substitutions and alternative methods of manufacturing.
• Ensuring that cross training and continuing education is maintained for key salary and hourly personnel.
• Identifying and initiating manufacturing improvements. Supporting engineering with cost reduction initiatives.
• Providing manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
• Approving timecards on a weekly basis for hourly and salaried employees.
• Maintaining working relationships with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Assisting Human Resources in resolving personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
