Job summary

Ghirardelli is seeking a Senior Production Supervisor in San Leandro, CA to drive department-wide safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives for continuous improvement of production lines.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, food science or manufacturing, plus 3–5 years of related supervisory experience and strong Lean manufacturing skills. This position supports SAP operations, line audits, and staff development across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, food science or manufacturing related discipline is required.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
• Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety objectives with the Safety Manager and ensure safety goals are met.
• Train staff in safety procedures and accident prevention.
• Enforce GMP rules and oversee production processes.
• Drive continuous improvement using in-house tools and address quality issues.
• Maintain HACCP, sanitation programs and perform line audits.
• Provide SAP Super User support and monitor OEE/TE metrics.
• Develop training plans and coach operators and team leads.
