Job summary

Mamava seeks a Production Manager in Springfield, VT to lead a mid-sized production team and oversee daily operations in a full-time, salaried role reporting to the VP of Manufacturing.

You will apply Lean principles, manage quality and safety programs, and drive continuous improvement across production, inventory, and training initiatives. The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership and clear communication with management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production management or senior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology.
• Significant experience with manufacturing safety protocols.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Drive, Docs).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Sage X3 or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
• CNC experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a mid-sized production team, maintaining positive working relationships with staff and overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Oversee hiring onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and staff development.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, improve process efficiency, and drive continuous improvement using tools like 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
• Create and maintain quality standards; track quality control for materials and finished products; oversee inventory management.
• Own and report on the SQDCI Operational Metric Board; run reports, review KPIs, and lead weekly huddles.
• Coordinate safety programs: update SDS, maintain safety manual, lead safety audits, and monthly inspections.
• Communicate clearly with management and participate in broader leadership initiatives.
