Job summary

Flex is seeking a Lead located in Columbia, SC to provide leadership and direction to groups of non-exempt employees. You will drive daily planning, performance feedback, and production issue resolution in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will participate in process development and cost improvement projects, coordinate department resources and budgets, and communicate effectively with shifts to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Expert in manufacturing line skills and ability to coach others.
• Broad knowledge of line techniques and potential process improvements.
• Applies new technologies and techniques.
• Able to present information to individuals and groups.
• Comfortable with basic math concepts used in production.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to groups of non-exempt employees.
• Give ongoing performance feedback and evaluations.
• Participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
• Coordinate people resources for the department and assist in budget planning.
• Communicate daily plan and resolve production or customer service issues.
• Identify shortages and interface with Expediter/Purchasing on parts.
• Highlight bottlenecks and monitor downtime with maintenance and test teams.
