Job summary

Optimal Market Technologies, LLC in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to own the support, investigation and configuration for our high‑performance options trading platform. You will drive reliability, automation, and tooling across the stack to keep clients trading smoothly.

You will build dashboards and reports, turning recurring issues into automation and runbooks, collaborating with clients, PMMs, exchanges and brokers to optimize latency and data flows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in production/software engineering with production code or automation.
• Hands-on Python; able to read and debug C++.
• Experience with Linux-based apps: logs, tracing, debugging, performance.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide incident support and root-cause analysis across the trading platform.
• Manage configuration: onboarding, FIX sessions, environments, reference data.
• Build and automate GUI, reports, and dashboards to support traders and clients.
• Apply AI-assisted development to reduce reactive workload and improve tooling.
