Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to join the Production Engineering team. The role concentrates on process modeling and simulation to understand plant performance, optimise production, and support real-time operational decisions.

You will develop steady-state and dynamic models using Aspen HYSYS, Unisim, and AI/data analytics methods, collaborating with engineering, IT and operations, with travel to Louisiana facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; Masters/PhD preferred.
• 5–10 years of industry experience; LNG experience is a plus.
• Interest in physics-based engineering modelling, data analytics and AI/ML.
• Deep expertise in automation of engineering and AI models in real-time.
• Familiarity with modelling tools and programming basics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate steady-state and dynamic process models of LNG units.
• Use data-driven, physics-based and data analytics models.
• Formulates solutions to sustain model recommendations for performance.
• Engage with stakeholders across engineering, IT and operations.
• Analyse plant data and model outputs to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Assist in evaluating impact of process changes and debottlenecking.
• Travel to Louisiana LNG facilities as needed.
