Job summary

Venture Global LNG is hiring a Production Engineer to join the Production Excellence team in our Arlington, VA office. You will support safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the LNG liquefaction facility, leveraging data tools to optimize plant performance.

The role requires LNG/process engineering background and a passion for data-driven improvements. Collaboration across IT, commercial ops, and operations is essential, with travel to facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering is highly desired; or a Bachelor’s with demonstrated LNG ops improvements using data/automation.
• Minimum 3 years of production or process engineering experience in LNG.
• Demonstrated success improving plant operations using data, analytics, or automation.
• Experience with production systems, control room operations, and key process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools that track and improve LNG production performance, including dashboards, automated reports, and alerts.
• Translate operating data into insights to improve reliability, availability, and throughput.
• Automate analysis of production trends, loss events, and deviations; support investigations and mitigation planning.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual tracking and reporting processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze plant data and model outputs to identify optimization opportunities and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and BI Developers to ensure accurate data flows and fit-for-purpose dashboards.
• Provide input to the annual delivery plan, production forecasts, and performance reviews.
