Senior Production Engineer/Senior Specialist

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

This position will design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Manage projects including new production equipment, process improvements, and cost reductions, supporting new product introductions. Provide guidance to engineers and technicians.
2. Provide technical mentorship to engineers and technicians.
3. Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validations.
4. Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput using Lean manufacturing concepts.
5. Coordinate design, procurement, build, and debug of tooling, machinery, and test equipment.
6. Collaborate with Product Development for Design for Manufacturability.
7. Innovative, resourceful individual with excellent organization, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Support company initiatives related to QMS, EMS, and regulatory requirements, maintaining positive communication across all levels.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Chemical, or any engineering or technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Experience Details:

• Minimum 5 years manufacturing engineering experience, with medical device and international manufacturing experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in team settings. Experience in a broad enterprise/cross-division business model.
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed, geographically diverse environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%, including internationally.
