Job summary

Plotsy is seeking a Senior Production Designer to own the visual standard for our vBook slate and to build scalable design systems and a capable design team.

You will lead elite design across new titles, mentor artists, and collaborate with AI engineers to ensure consistent, cinematic aesthetics from concept to render.

This role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration with C-suite partners, and the creation of repeatable design playbooks for ongoing production.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production Designer, Art Director, or Lead Concept Artist.
• Expertise in AI tools for production design (Midjourney, ControlNet, etc.).
• Elite grounding in anatomy, perspective, and lighting; able to hand-paint over AI outputs.
• Ability to assess design feasibility for motion and rendering pipelines.
• Experience creating playbooks or templates and mentoring junior artists.

Responsibilities

• Create Visual DNA: translate prose into design packages with character references and environments.
• Enforce Character Consistency across lighting, wardrobe, and cinematic angles.
• Systemize Handoffs: structure asset libraries for efficient production handoffs.
• Iterate and Refine: perform rapid design revisions during motion/rendering phases.
