Job summary

Clark Associates' RaD team evaluates the reliability, safety, and quality of new item work and existing products, primarily in commercial foodservice equipment.

The Product Test Engineer will plan test approaches, perform hands-on testing, and coordinate internal and external testing with labs and suppliers, closely collaborating with supplier quality engineers and product managers throughout development and validation.

Qualifications

• Plans test approaches for functional, safety, and reliability testing.
• Documents findings in clear, structured reports for teams and manufacturers.
• Coordinates testing internally and with external labs or suppliers.
• Reviews supplier/test data in response to development requests.
• Clarifies technical requirements with product managers during testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan test approaches and execute functional, safety, and reliability testing on new and existing products; document findings for teams and manufacturers.
• Coordinate internal testing and external lab or supplier testing; confirm requirements are met.
• Review supplier and vendor test data for product development.
• Clarify product requirements with managers to narrow tests.
• Investigate failures, field issues, and warranty data to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Operate DAQ tools and test instrumentation, analyze data, and identify trends for improvements.
• Collaborate with supplier quality engineers, product managers, and manufacturers through the test lifecycle.
• Conduct hands-on testing across mechanical, electrical, gas, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and materials.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and customer expectations.
