Job summary

Clark Associates is seeking a Product Test Engineer for its RaD team in Lancaster, PA. The role focuses on planning, executing, and coordinating tests for new and existing products, working with internal teams and external labs to ensure reliability, safety, and quality across product categories.

The position emphasizes hands-on testing, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with product managers and supplier quality engineers to clarify requirements and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in product testing, quality engineering, reliability engineering, field repair/service technician work, product engineering or related technical field.
• A degree is not required; equivalent hands-on experience is valued.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, repairing, or assembling mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of AC/DC power systems and basic electrical theory; safe use of digital multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Plan test approaches and execute functional, safety, and reliability testing on both new and existing products.
• Coordinate testing with internal teams and external labs or suppliers; review results against the product test plan.
• Review supplier and vendor test data and documentation.
• Work with product managers to clarify technical requirements.
• Investigate product failures, field complaints, and warranty data; identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Operate DAQ tools and test instrumentation; analyze data and identify trends for improvements.
• Collaborate across supplier quality, product managers, and manufacturers during test & validation lifecycle.
• Conduct hands-on testing across mechanical, electrical, gas, and plumbing systems.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment; source necessary tools and materials.
• Perform market and competitive research to identify trends and opportunities.
