Job summary

Fivetran is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to own operating expense budgeting and the portfolio view of product investments. You will partner with Product, Support, and senior leadership to drive data-driven decisions and robust financial planning.

You will manage annual plans, monthly closes, and variance analyses, while building cost-to-serve analytics and unit economics for roadmap funding. This role is based in New York with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, product finance, or related fields.
• Owned an operating expense budget or partnered with a non-finance org on spend.
• Strong modeling skills for driver-based revenue and OPEX/Headcount.
• Familiarity with software/subscription economics (ARR, NRR, ARPA).

Responsibilities

• Serve as finance partner to Product and Support leadership; own budgets and spend decisions.
• Own the annual operating plan and quarterly reforecasts for both orgs.
• Oversee monthly close, accruals, variance analysis, and forward-looking implications.
• Build portfolio view of product investments and funding needs for roadmaps.
• Integrate cost of revenue and unit economics into the investment view.
• Develop cost-to-serve analytics for support cost by account/segment.
• Create business cases for major investments and roadmap changes.
• Co-own Product Monthly/Quarterly Financial Reviews with leadership.
• Improve processes with better data models and AI-assisted analysis.
